With conflict zones expanding, robust backup navigational technology that is resilient to denial, jamming, and spoofing has become increasingly critical to defense applications from battlefield operations to intelligence and surveillance. To address this, ww5 will be joining Q-CTRL to develop next-generation quantum sensors for navigation on advanced defense platforms for the DARPA Robust Quantum Sensors (RoQS) program leveraging their expertise in both quantum and GPS technology.

This collaboration comes shortly after ww5’s awarded contract by the U.S. Department of Defense's Innovation Unit (DIU) to prototype quantum-enabled Inertial Navigation System (INS). ww5 partnered with Q-CTRL to develop a system, known as QuINS, which uses quantum sensing technology to provide highly accurate navigation and positioning capabilities.
